We had the pleasure of viewing the Kings of punk foot wear; Dr. Marten. We were surprised by all the luxe new materials and patterns. We have included our favs like the new marble pattern, baroque lace pattern that looks like vintage lace, the cool new snake leather called viper and the Kawaii loving pastel collection with the cute name “Hug Me”. I was disappointed we couldn’t show or photograph the other collections we were blown away on such as the new Adventure Time Collection and a top secret collection based on a famous painter.

Below is the blurb from their new press kit;followed by press kit photos of the collections we loved.

“For AW16 Dr. Martens brings you a collection focussed around print, texture and materials, that sit alongside reimagined originals. Offering seasonally relevant silhouettes that champion individuality and comfort without compromise.
Use of diverse materials has become fundamental to many Dr. Martens collection with this seasons key themes stemming from the aesthetics of marble, embossed leather, re ned styles with pebble textures.
Running concurrently is the theme of winterisation that runs across Men’s, Women’s and Kids, with soft shearling lining, and innovation such as re ective mono black materials that change to metallic silver and glow-in-the-dark materials being used across iconic styles and newly introduced models alike.
Another key in uence for AW16 is Goth – one of the most enduring and international of all the youth subcultures who adopted Dr. Martens from the early 80’s. Dr. Martens have taken this in uence and run it across a number of key designs, using black as a base with intri- cate designs and complex lace patterning, the classic Creeper and the extravagant 32-Eye Daria boot.
High quality detailing and hardware resulting in a collection that is individual in style yet united in spirit.”

I end my Spring shoe guide with a brand I am obsessed with! I own their clothes and handbags as well as their kick ass shoes! Iron Fist wascstarted by two skaters in 2001 and since then the brand has hired many skaters and artists to create their one of a kind prints. They create well made shoes with a punk twist and the price is so afforable with no shoe priced over $80!!
