Okay so the holidays put me a little behind on my post. It been a long time since I looked at fall trends. Everyone seems to be looking ahead to Spring trends which I will highlight in the coming weeks. For now here are the trends that made the radar but were the not the best in trends! So they made our good list!
The good part of hair trends:
The good part of hair trends is that included styles for short hair types. Some of the styles were not so original like the bob (in style since 1994) and the sleek back that probably debuted in the 80’s. Okay, this is supposed to be the good part:
1. The return of hair accessories
A little more pricey but well adorned makes the return of headbands, clips and pins worth trying out. Of course the down side is that now that hair accessories have gone designer you can expect to pay more. Stay away from department stores and low end stores like Aldo and bebe if you don’t want the trend to effect your wallet. Keep it simple for everyday use! Studded, sequins and crystals are for party wear.
2. the shag gets an asymmetrical look
A nice change from the salad bowl, this cut gives body to short hair and still makes a statement! Still, keep in mind that this style needs to kept up with trimming since it can easily become narly and unkept.
The good part Fall Clothing Trends
We loved the return of animal print, and faux fur. The prices were kinda over priced for faux fur since designers seem to be using cheaper products and charging the same amount of money. The good part is that department stores and low-end supergiant like H&M, forever 21 and Dots all gave affordable alternatives sometimes using the same basic fur colors: Black, brown and molted.
The good part Fall accessories
We love that accessories had a lot of sparkle added to it this fall. An explosion of sequins on everything from handbags to shoes adorned everything! We love sequins but be careful since this material is high maintenance! It is prone to fading, scratches and a loss shine over time. Get one and do not wear it often!
This holiday season is all about the sequins andwhat better way to show off that glitz then on a pump! Especially the cool two-toned sequin designs that have been seen all over the place. These two designs I chose are awesome in high and low end!

So here we all are moving towards spring already and we have to admit that some of the trends this fall fell shoot of our expectations. Here is a quick list of the BAD:
When did looking like a homeless woman come into fashion? We saw greasy locks hit the runway, possibly the worst hair trend for Fall but of course it’s always a matter of opinion.
Wang gets it wrong - this hair trend is for the homeless
Fur everywhere? Okay, we all heard of Chanel’s fur suit but do we need fur jewelry? I mean isn’t there a limit where the hide of dead animals should be worn? Let’s stick to handbags and clothes please!
Let's just keep fur classic - handbags and clothing only!
Prints head to toe makes me feel like I have gone back to the 70’s even though I wasn’t born yet! A dizzying array of bright bold patterns! The worst part is that this trend is following us into Spring!!! Yikes!
Foral is best in pieces!
F.U.S.C.H.A. has had a stunning year so far and the best is yet to come. We were tapped by FGI as emerging jewelry designers, requested by Aqua Di Lara to adorn thier suits in Mercedes Benz swim and we were published in our first magazine. We also have gotten a new store in Miami. It’s a big list and no one is prouder than we are of our accomplishments. Now we are ready to Launch our newest collection – Ennui. The launch was held off due to our trip to New York. As soon as the ad hit facebook and the items were added to etsy, we were personally invited to sell at a Wynwood gallery during Art Basel season! Yes we are happy to showcase our new collection and get some more press (even though we have gotten a few press nods already).
What’s next for FUSCHA? Well, we look forward to launching our next collection based on Japanese fashion craze, harajuku – kokoroiki. It will be casual items worked into floral, striped, and skull prints with a rock flair.
I never thought I’d speak the words lanvin and H&M in the same sentence but yes I can now! The amazing designer Alber Elbaz has teamed up with the swedish clothing company H&M to bring you the frugal fashionista an amazing collection of tulle dresses, jewelry, shoes and handbags. The prices range from $19.99 for accessories to $250 for a dress. Now considering that the french designer’s regular line can cost upwards of thousands of dollars I say grab all you can from H&M! The collection debuts in stores November 20. You can view the collection at www.hm.com/us/#/lanvin
This pint sized diva is only 9 years old, already has her own style and a hit song! She loves punk clothes with a hip hop twist and wears her hair in all sorts of cool and funky colors and mohawks. Her parents are Will Smith and Jada Pinkett but her style and sound are all her own!
download “Whip My Hair”.
Gaga is a well known copycat: her video ideas are stolen from Rihanna; her character from Grace Jones and of course a host of possible people stating she has some how ripped them off. Sorry little monsters, Kerli is the latest celeb to feel the cold hands of Lady Gaga grasping at her fame (fame monster indeed).
A picture is worth a thousand words....
come on you know the similarities are uncanny! But Kerli Did it First!
The picture above is evidence enough of style icon, Kerli, contribution to Lady Gaga’s style. Nothing is wrong with being inspired by some elses’ style but claiming it as your own is a new low! Janet Jackson admits to being inspired by Micheal, Brittany Spears by Madonna, and even Adam Lambert by Madonna. So why is she so special that she is above such influences of others.
The most recent is the hair. Yes, Lady Gaga has been stealing kerli’s hairstyles. It is gotten so bad that she has been asked to change her style even though it is Lady Gaga who is copying. Her record dates keep being pushed back and the more she seeks to change her look, the more Lady GaGa copies it. So should the original change for the copycat? Then what would the copycat copy?

kerli who dipped dyed her hair pink first
This October has been huge for F.U.S.C.H.A! We have had our clothing featured in a brand new video featuring T-pain (thats all we can say for now) shot in a men’s magazine (Cigar Snob) and now we are headed to NYC for Henri Bendels Open Call for new accessories designers! Keep your fingers crossed!
Its all about denim this fall! All washes in jeans, accessories and most important jackets! At the same time rocker will not die (Thank God!!) so for the third seaon in a row accessories and clothing with studs and zippers are still in. So I’ve decided to find outerwear that combines the two trends…. Denim motorcycle jackets! Wear them dressed up or down but these 2 versions will be a splurge AND gentle on your wallet!

I absolutely adore this stunning plus size rocker. She represents divas everywhere with her cool and effortless style. She is so fierce she recently opened the spring 2011 Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show! Talk about on fire! She also designs for british clothing store Evans and fronts the band The Gossip.
