We will soon be debuting our Spring/Summer 2011 collection which will combine Harajuku (Japanese street style) and American punk. The collection will feature mini top hats, dresses, hoodies, bikinis, skirts, pants and headbands.
Spring/summer 2011 is all about the neutral accents in colors like, nude, blush and camel. Neutral accents are great because they go with everything that’s in your closet and is a great way to update your wardrobe. Try buying a neutral color bag, belt or shoe( or buy all of them just don’t wear them all at once)
I picked these Nude colored Michael Kors sandals because they have a nice edgy zipper detail and they r on sale! So get em quick! The next are awesome camel colored sandals from forever 21. They have stunning cut outs and look like genuine leather! The handbag I chose is from Nicole Lee and it is a deep blush color, the details on this bag are amazing and you’ll want to carry it through to summer!
So the next “twins” I chose are Nick Nolte and Gary Busey (who has been called the poor man’s Nick Nolte). The resemblance is uncanny! Gary Busey is a lot younger and he never really became as famous as Nick but I think that’s what happens when you are in the same line of work as your doppelgänger lol! Here are the pics you be the judge!
As everyone has already reported on the Spring trends (that seem to be in for the past 3 years: bright colors, some trend picked out of the 80’s and mixed prints), we decided to focus on those all important feature: our hair! Sorry short tresses are not in vogue this time ( I cry everyday looking in the mirror at my shoulder length hair). Volume is back and just like nude as the neutral sojourned from the 70’s so did this hapless hairstyles- Is someone actually wearing a Beehive?
Think coif and a whole lot of hair spray! This hairstyle is more sculptural than the one’s in the past since it combines folding, pinning, and density. No teasing here! The idea is to pull most of your hair on top of your hair and pin!
If you actually want to go all the way back to the 1960’s, try the coif. Here is Elle Canada’s tips to getting the coif:
Get the look: Dig out your hot roller or Velcro rollers. You’ll need large rollers as the rollers are used to add volume, not to create curl. Work in some volumizing mousse focusing the product at the crown and working and remaining product down the hair shaft. With hair moist from mousse, add rollers working from the front to back. Then heat each roller using your blow dryer on its highest heat mode to help set the rollers. Let cool, pull out rollers and brush back hair. Backcomb your hair, using a working hairspray as you tease, to create volume at the crown and then brush hair back with a paddle brush to smooth out the style. Finish with an extra-strong hold hairspray.
2. Curls Curls Curls and more curls
If I tried to curl my hair it would probably be a frizzy mess! Great thing that is exactly the way its suppose to look. Yep, messy, natural and curly (abate very faint).
Get the Look:
1. Prep damp hair with any anti-frizz or smoothing cream for sleek smoothness and to prevent frizz. Use a fine-tooth comb to create a strong part of the left side of the head.
2. Scrunch a Styling Foam into damp hair and massage into roots for volume and shine. Blow hair dry with a large ceramic round brush, curling ends under.
3. Pin top section of hair up with a large clip so sides are free for curling. Use a large-barrel curling iron on one-inch sections of hair at a time, working from the bottom up. Use a 1/4 inch barrel for short hair.
4. Remove pin from top section and curl as done on the sides.
5. Sprinkle a glossing spray from roots to ends and rake hands through hair to create texture and loose roughness to waves.
6. Finish with a mist of l Hair Spray for light hold and pull ends forward to rest on shoulders or neck.
Enjoy your new hair styles! If you try these looks, please post your comments below and if you have pictures we will post it on our next post!

OK don’t tell me you haven’t noticed there are some celebs who look eerily alike almost to the point of passing for identical twins but have supposedly no blood relation at all. So I’m going to spend the next couple of blogs highlighting these freaky doppelgängers.
First ones I HAVE to choose are Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel.
These two look so much alike I swear they were separated at birth! Both sing, both have huge blue eyes and black hair, and both love the vintage pin-up style. hmm Zooey admits to the eery similarity. She was interviewed by MTV “The only similarity that we have is that we look a little bit alike,” she laughed. “I have met her before. She seems like a nice person. I’m happy that she’s famous enough now that she’s not going out and being mistaken for me.” I found a rare pic of the two together at an event and a comparison shot
When we heard the T-pain was going to feature styles from the Steampunk movement in his latest song “Rap Song” we were surprised. Punk meets Rap all in a “The other guys” stop film experience. So stylist Kristina Kitchen used some of our mini top hats in the video which we were pleasantly surprised about the outcome! One beautiful studded heart earrings and four mini top hats. What a great way to start 2011. See the stop pictures below.
The top hat to the right of picture is our crowning glory!
It seem every season we are looking to replace Black as our go to safe zone neutral and Spring 2011 is no surprise. Last season, my favorite color – purple became a neutral which I whole hardly embraced! Rewind back to the Fall 2009 where brown was the neutral, add a hint of white and BAM!! camel! Lighter, creamy and airy enough for the bright color blocks of spring (think 80’s neon, and 70’s prints) this is sure to be a popular color for years to come but don’t quote me on that 😉
Here is how to fit this new color into your wardrobe:
1. Try soft fabric pant or pencil skirt. Please no jeans. If you do wear jeans had a camel handbag to still participate in the trend.
2.Try not to wear it head to toe because the look can seem dated since the last time we saw camel was the 1970’s. If you do want to take a risk try wearing camel with other shades of brown like tan and ecru. Camel can be paired with pants and jacket combinations but the shirt must be a different color usually bright like blue or white. Shoes should be a different color and I have seen nude used in connection with camel for a slick look.
3. Camel handbags take on a minimalist structured look. Don’t look for studs, buckles or other forms of hardware. Clean lines and patchwork designs are the key.
OK so now we’ll move on to the next style: Romance
Romance style is all about being feminine and girlie, soft and pretty. Romance types will have in their closets sheer, lace or vintage (tops, dresses or skirts) anything with ruffles, and pastels. You can find romance types sipping herbal tea at the local cafe with their heads buried in a romantic novel. Candles and flowers are always a must. Romance styles don’t have to do much to update their closets as you will already have this Springs hottest fashion trends: sheers, lace and floral prints already in your closets. So I chose an updated version of the romantic top; this top from Free People because it has everything (lace vintage feel, ruffles and its sheer).
We had a world wind trip to the top in 2010! First our jewelry line debuted in Mercedes Benz Swim alongside Aqua Di Lara’d Qiss Qiss brand, SOBE Men’s Show featured our new men’s line, Grammy winning recording artist Mya took a real liking to our Jewelry line wearing it all over the country! and ending the year with our mini top hats being featured in Tpain’s newest video for his hit single “Rap Song”! Not to mention being featured in Sun Sentinel, New Times and several Indy fashion magazines. You cant stop F.U.S.C.H.A’s Metoric rise! 2011 is gonna be huge! for pics check out our facebook page. www.facebook.com/fuschadesigns
