Hello my fellow curvy readers,
The holidays are upon us and with it comes all the holiday parties. Being curvy makes it sometimes hard to look Chic and sexy during the holidays but; not anymore! You can’t go wrong with a sequin dress! It’s sparkly, flattering and goes with any shoes and accessories you may have in your closet. This season sees the long sleeve sequin dress as a new silhouette and I couldn’t be happier as it keeps you warm, hides any flaws and looks so sexy on any body type. Try pairing this dress with neutral accessories or add sequin or rhinestone pieces for that glittery Christmas Ornament vibe! I was totally surprised to find many options in slinky, sexy and cute designs; all being under $127! Let us know if you Fall in Love with any of our glamorous pics!
That time of year is upon us for the annual Christmas and Holiday parties. There will be so many and you can’t wear the same thing to every one of them; so why not have some fun this year will your outfits and get several sequin dresses! You can’t go wrong with a sequin dress as it flatters any figure, is chic and goes with just about any shoe or bag! This year we are looking at the long sleeved version as it’s more versatile, keeps you warmer and is much more flattering on all figures; try adding neutral accessories or go full on sequin to get your Christmas ornament homage on..The sequin dress in lower price points has been looking very luxe lately with more attention to details, the sequin fabric being fuller, more color ways and chicer silhouettes. These are our picks for the best sequin dresses under $100 so you can go to all those holiday parties without wearing the same thing and not breaking the bank.
The last stop on our pre fall journey ends in clutches with flowers on them. Think very dark and romantic floral patterns and flower embellishments. FYI I went yesterday to Lord And Taylor and was pleasantly surprised to find a ton of flower and global print clutches and bags at 70% off! They even have an extra 25% off coupon to stack on top! I was able to score an gorg floral print top handle bag ( another huge Fall staple) by Ted Baker for $65 down from $249!! So that really hits home what I was saying about end of season sales..A lot of the floral trends from Soring and Summer can be used for Fall; saving you tons of money and helping you try a trend you weren’t too sure about. Nordstrom is also having their end of season sale right now.
I chose the flower clutch as I feel ladies are sleeping on one of my fave accessories! You can throw a clutch into your work tote and pull it out for a night on the town. I like using larger clutches as day bag cuz they hold so much yet can fit easily under my arm or in a tote bag while I’m out and about. The flower clutch will add a statement to any outfit and as the leaves fall you will be carrying around a garden to remind you to stop and smell the roses…
Hello again readers as our prior post stated we are compiling the pre Fall must haves all under $50! Another good tip for Pre Fall shopping is that the end of season sales have a lot of stuff that’s good for Fall as summer did have the Bohemian world trend so there’s a lot of embroidered dusters, fringe beaded bags and peep toe booties to be found at up to 80% off!
Next up up is the floral bootie that has been embroidered with tons of flora and fauna! I am so happy to see embroidered flowers as it’s my fave and can be easily paired with my bohemian rocker style. These beauties can be paired with jeans, tee and a duster or motorcycle jacket; or you can wear a solid maxi dress and make them your statement piece! Below I have found some stunning booties and the price will make your jaw drop!
It’s sad to see Summer go ( not for me as I adore cooler weather and avoid the sun like a vampire) but at least you can look forward to end of season sales and some pre Fall sales as well.
This Fall we are once again seeing Global Nomad take over the runways..(think tribal designs, heavy embroidery, tapestry fabrics and furs; real and faux) Every model looked like she just came back from an exotic vacation and was dripping with heavy beading and lots of ethnic prints.. So I have put together a series of blogs based on these trends and how to find them; all as always will be under $50! So if you haven’t tried any of these looks you can do so without breaking the bank..
The tapestry tote is so pretty and will take you all the way into next season as it’s look is so versatile and the print can be worn with jeans or dressed up with a nice little black dress or you can Anna Sui it and go head to toe embroidery with the tote as an accent! Either way it’s such a nice statement piece that will get so much wear! Here are my choices below!
Everyone knows that April showers bring May flowers so why not take this time to update your rain wardrobe? I know I am tired of heavy Wellies that are too big and uncomfortable. So if we have to bare the wet, cold rainy season; why not do it in style?
We found some fun and stylish alternatives that are under $50

The bomber jacket has been in this entire year! It’s versatile, comfy and adds a layer of coolness previously reserved for the motorcycle jacket. Alas there is no way of knowing if this trend will continue (unless your like me who has plenty of bomber jackets because I use them in my punk and Japanese street style looks) so why spend a ton of money on something you may not want to keep after the trend dies. Here are our picks and all are under $50!
Our final trend is my absolute obsession and that is the quirky bag or as the Japanese call it Kawaii (which means cute) these bags add a touch of whimsy and fun to any outfit.
