Hello again Readers,
This is our last post on the high end accessories and designer dupes posts so I decided for the last one to give you a Fall 2018 trend which is the box bag. This bag can still carry your essentials but is structured and chic enough for after work drinks or a nice weekend out. The Mark Cross bag is such a lovely color and the gold hardware and thin crossbody strap are icing on the cake; but at a whopping price tag of over $2,000 this Zara bag will just have to do for most of us and it’s also very chic and well made..Hope you enjoyed this and get some of our recommendations; if you do let us know in the comments!
The Faşhion Goddess
When I first glanced these shoes in Elle magazine I was blown away by how rock and roll yet chic these mesh booties by Jimmy Choo were. I quickly did a search and saw that several high end brands had made some version of the mesh (or caged) bootie heel as well as I have seen ultra fab women stomping down fifth avenue in the pump version. These gorgeous shoes will set you back over $1,000 so I have scoured the internet (this one broke out a little sweat as high end designers did not want this design to be reproduced!) and found you an alternative that costs a mere $54! You welcome! I know your wallet thanks me..
Your fairy Faşhion goddess,
It’s been a while since we chose a specific luxury designer item and tried to find it’s match. Fakes should never be an option (and I won’t preach to you all the reasons why when you can google it if you are interested) as there are so many small businesses that create well made pieces that look just as good as the real thing and will cost a fraction of the high end designer. I decided to first choose the Hatbox bag as it has been all over the runways and is a cool unique shape that can dress up any outfit. St. Laurent is made of calfskin ( which I know isn’t vegan friendly) while the Lux De Ville dupe( which I own the glitter purple version of so can attest to its well made and beautiful craftsmanship) is made of vegan leather and has a quilted spider web design..FYI the bag of the Luxe De Ville bag is solid black in the back so if you don’t like the spider web u can flip it to the back and also remove the skull keychain that comes with it.
Summer is finally upon us and as I was walking around New York City one day I noticed more and more men carrying tote bags instead of messenger bags; and I thought it was such a cool idea as us ladies have been carrying tote bags for so long. Tote bags are a great way to help the planet by not needing to carry plastic bags; but also because they are light weight, can carry anything and can be thrown in the wash! Tote bags don’t have to be the free ones with logos thrown on the front but can be structured, zippered, come in nice fabrics and can look really chill slung over a shoulder. You can find them to suit any style. Below I have scoured the internet to find cool totes that won’t break the bank but look more expensive so you can leave the messenger bag at home..and Totes are great all year round..so enjoy!
Men’s tote bags
Finally the weather is thawing out and we can finally enjoy the sun; but with warm weather comes the humidity and mugginess of Summer..So why not carry everything in a light weight and stylish bag that goes with any of your Summer wardrobe? I first saw transparent handbags when I looked at Korean bloggers’ posts as well as in Japanese magazines such as Mini magazine’s May 2018 issue and couldn’t help but noticed they were more chic and just as structured as regular handbags! I loved how they wore baseball caps, sundresses and either sneakers or sandals for a perfect, fun and stylish warm weather look. It was a little tougher finding these kind of bags in the us online for reasonable prices but I found several styles all under $40! I hope you find one from our picks and let us know in the comments!
Clear bags are featured in the May 2018 issue of Mini
Romance is in the air and tomorrow marks the historical day when Meghan Markle becomes the first American and bi racial beauty to entire the royal family when she weds the handsome Prince Harry! Their love and happiness have placed a smile on everyone’s face and we are all so excited to finally be interested in royal news lol! Why not celebrate by donning a beautiful tiara? We chose ones that don’t look tacky or cheap without spending over $20! Tiaras are always in thanks to Courtney Love so here’s a chance to add one to your wardrobe without even scratching your bank account..
Hello my lovely curvy readers,
I was flipping through the pages of another glossy magazine when I came across a new trend for Spring; wear rainbow stripes with a candy colored twist. I loved all the beautiful pops of delicious colors that reminded me of those rainbow mints you would see in your grand mother’s candy bowl or a doctors offices back in the nineties when you were a kid.. What I didn’t see was any suggestions for plus sized or curvy women and that bothered me a lot! We can rock stripes just as well as any straight sized woman! There is a huge myth going around that curvy girls can’t wear stripes as it makes us look bigger..I wear stripes all the time and I’m a size 16 and I don’t look any bigger..So get out your wallets take our guide and go get some yummy rainbow stripes! I have chosen everything under $40!
Next in our look-a-like series Red edition; I chose the beautiful and chic Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps! These beauties are sky high, patent leather and will add a sleek pop of color to any outfit you can think of to pu together! The price tag for these lovelies is a not too bad ( as Louboutins can go for way more)$675. The similar styles we found surprisingly had similar shapes and heel length..Let us know in the comments if you think we chose wisely and what other designer look-a-likes you would like featured next month!
Back by popular demand; our designer look-a-like series! We started this series almost 8 years ago when designer dupes weren’t even a thing. We saw so many girls drooling over high end designs but couldn’t afford the real thing just yet.( we don’t condone designer knock offs EVER) We a,ways looked for something similar to the style and color of the designer Brand. Now more then ever you can shop the designer sales, stalk sample sales or wait for the real thing to show up on Poshmark, the real real..etc.. OR if you still don’t have or want to spend the money on said piece you can use our cheat sheets and get the similar look once again! We decided since valentine’s Day is right around the corner why not start with a pop of red which never goes out of style!
First up is the look-a-Like for the yummy Gucci Disco bag; this pebble leather bag is just the right size with a cute tassel; but with a $1190 price tag and the 100% leather material that might turn some off we came up with some similar styles we hope you like..let us know in the comments which ones you want or which look-a-like we should do next!
As Valentine’s Day draws near to us it’s the perfect time to look for heart shaped or heart pattern accessories! I love heart shapes as they are romantic, whimsical and fun to wear. I love how anything with hearts immediately adds a sweet and quirky touch to your wardrobe without being over the top (like my giant stuffed Bunny back pack from Wego Japan and artist Esther Kim lol)I decided to put together a cute collage of heart accessories that don’t scream Valentines Dayas well as being very affordable! These can be worn all year around. Enjoy and let us know in the comments if you bought anything or what’s your fave.
