Hello my lovely curvy readers,

I was flipping through the pages of another glossy magazine when I came across a new trend for Spring; wear rainbow stripes with a candy colored twist. I loved all the beautiful pops of delicious colors that reminded me of those rainbow mints you would see in your grand mother’s candy bowl or a doctors offices back in the nineties when you were a kid.. What I didn’t see was any suggestions for plus sized or curvy women and that bothered me a lot! We can rock stripes just as well as any straight sized woman! There is a huge myth going around that curvy girls can’t wear stripes as it makes us look bigger..I wear stripes all the time and I’m a size 16 and I don’t look any bigger..So get out your wallets take our guide and go get some yummy rainbow stripes! I have chosen everything under $40!

Hello my fellow curvy readers,

The holidays are upon us and with it comes all the holiday parties. Being curvy makes it sometimes hard to look Chic and sexy during the holidays but; not anymore! You can’t go wrong with a sequin dress! It’s sparkly, flattering and goes with any shoes and accessories you may have in your closet. This season sees the long sleeve sequin dress as a new silhouette and I couldn’t be happier as it keeps you warm, hides any flaws and looks so sexy on any body type. Try pairing this dress with neutral accessories or add sequin or rhinestone pieces for that glittery Christmas Ornament vibe! I was  totally surprised to find many options in slinky, sexy and cute designs; all being under $127! Let us know if you Fall in Love with any of our glamorous pics!

hey readers!

It’s  almost time for Winter. If your like me it’s very difficult to find a coat that makes you look hot and keeps you warm! I always have to size up and then look super bulky when I add sweaters or hoodies under as I live in NYC and the winters are brutal! I did manage to find a coat from Andrew Marc last year that was cozy and kept me looking chic! So I have rounded up my top picks of flattering coats in different cuts, colors and styles; all to keep you warm, toasty and haute! Hope you agree!

I am obsessed with faux fur coats and jackets! ( I have 10) I love them more then moto jackets because I feel they add a luxe rocker vibe when paired with leggings, tees and body con dresses! I also love being cozy and in the Fall faux fur is a life saver! ( I prefer genuine fur in the winter..sorry Peta but below zero temps require animal skins or you will freeze to death!)

Sadly when I started collecting faux fur coats (thanks Scream Queens) they were a lot cheaper and standard sizes came oversized so I was able to buy those and pay under $50 (2 yrs ago), fast forward and faux fur coats and jackets have shrunken and doubled in prices, so I had to make my choices under $115…

I ladies am plus sized and adore all things dark, punk and rocker. We don’t share much pics of ourselves because we like to focus more on bringing our readers Faşhion info and tips. We also feel there are enough style bloggers out there…that being said I (Eva) am a size 16 and average height..while my Blog partner (Yvette) is a size 4-6 and a little above average height. Just in case anyone was curious lol..

If your like me and love looking cool and badass then check out these Fall pieces I am putting together all under $50!

Lets start with the moto jacket! I love a good moto jacket as it instantly adds a badass cool vibe to anything you throw over it! You can’t go wrong with this staple in your closet.. The updated versions now come in pastel and other colors as well as have embroidery and studs.

This will be our last fashion week post since all major fashion week shows are now over. We hope you enjoyed the ride. Our last show is Torrid, the little  sister of Hot Topic catered to plus size 10-32.

The two women designers behind the brand relaunch;debuted a collection ranging from bohemian staples to rocker style jackets that made me even see a standard size girl wearing one as I exited the show.

The jackets were the star of the show as they presented moto and denim jackets with studs, embroidery and even hand painted bunnies! I don’t know how many will actually make it into production but I know I will be adding any they produce into my wardrobe!

There was also an artful play on bohemian with its over flowing volume that can make curvy girls look unflattering; but Torrid played with a sexier silhouette that featured slim fitted sleeves and cinched waist to really accent the figure instead of masking it. The flowy kimono dusters added a bohemian rocker aesthetic and I am here for that! Torrid also brung back it’s amazing corsets that we’re the reason why I started shopping there in the first place! They were sexy, vampy and so flattering!

We also liked the plus size model search winners walking the runway. We saw one bright star and we know we will be seeing her again. The gift bag was an icing on the cake which featured make up pallets from NYX cosmetics, skull bath bomb, torrid tee and perfume, make up bag and etc!

Check out the runway round up on our youtube page today and more pictures on our instagram page.

Happy Hump Day,

Eva ?

I have to shed light on this most hated Summer staple when it comes to plus sizes; the cover up. I mean a cover up is supposed to keep you dry, cool and be able to dress up or down but all I have ever seen in plus size version are moo moos, trapeze styles and ugly ill fitting caftans! What’s a curvy girl to do? We have hot dates and Chic places to go after the beach too!

So I scoured the internet to not only find flattering caftans but sexy and Chic cover up dresses and even a cute skirt! So go forth my curvy lovelies; wear that oversized straw hat, Jackie O sunglasses and meet your hot date after you have some fun at the beach ( hopefully rocking some of my choices!)

Hello my curvy beauties!

I know it’s been a while since we have written and as a fellow curvy girl trust me I could never forget about my sisters! Summer is quickly speeding towards us and I want all of you to be bold, sexy and beautiful in your swimwear this Summer! I found some really sexy suits that hug all your curves and support all the yummy giggly bits! These swimsuits are all under $50!

I am shocked to see Forever 21 up their plus size swimwear game offering everything from monokinis to high wasted bikinis! Curvy girls come in a variety of shapes and sizes so it’s nice to see a company take that into consideration as well as understand that plus size swimwear is so expensive we often don’t get to buy multiple pieces..but all of the Forever 21 designs are under $30!! So now we can try out a variety of styles and not break the bank! I can’t wait to go swimsuit shopping!

I am so excited that Project Runway Winner and the most successful contestant to date on the show Christian Siriano has turned his fabulous attention to the plus size world! He has created a capsule collection that features skirts, dresses and tops. His collection features vibrant colors and flirty silhouettes. I wasn’t a fan of some of the pieces so I chose the ones I thought looked the most flattering on all shapes. I hope Lane Bryant will continue working with Siriano to produce more pieces like a jumpsuit or outer wear!

Houndstooth Jacquard Dress $128

Organza plaid circle skirt $108 & tee is $48

Shirt dress $128

Cut out dress $148

I absolutely have fallen on love with the Boho style and have been mixing it with my rocker/punk style for a while now! I am so happy to see it come back in style in different versions every year! So my fellow curvy girls I have put together some cute outfits for you to try out. I don’t like ponchos on curvy girls as it just makes us look boxy so instead go for a kimono or blanket cardigan that you can layer. Leave multi tiered skirts alone as they are too cliché and can make you look older and instead go for a flowy maxi skirt or shorter flared Boho printed skirt. I hate traditional peasant tops for the same reason as ponchos and instead go for an embroidered tank or a short sleeved silk modern peasant style that opens at the neck.
